don’t stop believing

01Jun14

(happy June!)

Recently I was talking with someone close to me about a project idea for the summer (less teaching for me = more time), another one of these projects that I hope would contribute a lot to the MS community. I haven’t fleshed out a lot of the details, which is why I’ve been talking it out a bit.

And, of course, whenever you talk about big ideas to another person… there’s always gotta be some “yeah, but”s.

So, these ideas don’t build the project by themselves. We’re correct to consider potential roadblocks. And it would definitely be foolish for me to forge ahead, thinking that nothing would stop me.

But after my last few years–especially after the last few months–I can’t help but believe in the power of strength and positivity. As someone who has MS but is fully functional, I feel it’s my duty to help others who are newly diagnosed… and I believe that I can do that. Heck, if I’ve survived 3 abdominal surgeries in the last two months while still working… you gotta believe I have the strength to do anything.
